Georgia Tech invites applications for multiple full-time and long-term faculty positions in the School of Computing Instruction (SCI) within the College of Computing. Appointment as Lecturer or Senior Lecturer will be made based on past teaching experience. Positions are offered with renewable contracts with an expected start in January 2025 on the Georgia Tech Atlanta campus. Summer teaching for additional compensation is typically available, and SCI faculty may teach at Georgia Tech study-abroad campuses during the summer.

Job SummaryThe SCI was founded to recognize contributions of CS teaching-track faculty. We invite applications for multiple full-time and long-term faculty positions. The official appointment level (Lecturer or Senior Lecturer) will be determined by qualifications. The selection process may include an on-site interview with a sample lecture.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality undergraduate teaching with a typical load of 2-3 classes, supported by a teaching assistant for every 25 students.
- Opportunities to teach graduate courses; assignments matched to areas of expertise.
- Participate in service at the School, College, and Institute levels.
- Engage in scholarship and curriculum development; SCI allocates budget for these activities.
- Contribute to one or more areas of interest:
Artificial Intelligence, Capstone Design, Computer Organization/Architecture, Databases, Discrete Math, Mobile Application Development, Software Engineering, Usability and User Experience, Web Development.
This vacancy is open-rank. Final offer depends on qualifications aligned with Non-tenure Track Academic Faculty ranks. For Lecturer and Senior Lecturer, qualifications include:
- Graduate degree in Computer Science or a related area.
- At least six (6) years of full-time relevant experience (for Senior Lecturer; see detailed criteria in the note below).
