Aboutthe College of Lifetime Learning at Georgia Institute of Technology
The College of Lifetime Learning (CLL) is the seventh college at Georgia Tech, founded in September 2024. The college is focused on inquiry and pursuit of knowledge and fundamental understanding of the arts and sciences of learning at all stages of life and through the entire career arc. This study is uniquely supported by a strong, rich history of leading research and education in early learning (K-12) with a strong focus of STEM, thought leadership in the re-envisioning of higher education, and remains one of the leading providers of professional and executive education.
From this foundation, the college has established a strategic plan to create formal degree programs in the field of lifetime learning to support the education and preparation of future leaders in the new fields of learning technology, learning science and learning analytics. The college is focused on growing a cohort of faculty inspired by the pursuit of the academic inquiry into the intersection of learning sciences, technology, business and policy to accomplish its stated dual missions of delivering both excellence in lifetime learning at all life stages and cultivating the future thought leaders in new fields and disciplines of lifetime learning, including workplace learning and development.
