Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks part‑time Clinical Instructors to support students in our BSN program by providing high‑quality clinical teaching and mentorship. The role involves direct supervision, evaluation, and instruction of nursing students in a maternal‑child nursing specialty.
Specialty:Maternal‑Child Nursing
This course focuses on family‑centered approaches to maternal and newborn care, incorporating health promotion, wellness, and women’s health issues across the childbearing cycle.
Clinical Schedule- Days: One day per week (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sat) – schedule based on clinical site availability
- Location: Hospitals within the Atlanta area
- Time: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Duration: 8‑week session
Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.
Responsibilities- Implement the College’s philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching.
- Maintain autonomy over individual teaching assignments.
- Plan clinical experiences and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students.
- Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students based on course objectives.
- Remediate students as required.
- Stay current on agency/clinical policies and procedures.
- Develop and post written clinical assignments that align with student learning needs.
- Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, and clinical paperwork in a timely manner.
- Assist with didactic course content under the supervision of the course coordinator.
- Communicate student and agency issues to the course coordinator.
- Report to the dean or assistant dean for oversight.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
- Unencumbered professional nursing license.
- At least two years of recent professional experience in teaching or precepting a registered nurse.
- Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination may be required.
- Teaching or precepting experience is preferred, though not required.
- Strong passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Professional sense of responsibility and purpose in enriching the broader community.
Compensation for this part‑time clinical instructor position ranges from $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience. Pay may be adjusted based on course type, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, market factors, and departmental budgets.
