The Goddard School® located at 3467 Pierce Drive, Chamblee GA 30341 is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our Preschool class. We put our teachers first so that our students can thrive. Key Responsibilities
- Implement age‑appropriate lesson plans and activities using the Wonder of Learning® curriculum to engage and support each child’s growth.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintain open, effective, and positive communication with families and guardians about their child’s progress and daily activities.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to uphold health and safety standards and licensing regulations.
- Participate actively in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s learning and development to inform activities and share insights with families.
- Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers, fostering a collaborative and positive team environment.
- Model and implement positive guidance strategies to support social‑emotional growth and conflict resolution.
- Associate’s or bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (required).
- Child Development Associate (CDA) certification preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience working with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
- Successfully completed state‑required pre‑service training.
- Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, families, and faculty members.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with handling children.
