About the Department

The Perimeter College Department of Life and Earth Sciences includes a wide-ranging community of students, staff members and distinguished faculty scholars in the fields of biology, environmental science, geology and integrated sciences. We celebrate the diversity of our students, faculty and staff as one of our greatest assets.

Students taking courses in our department may go on to continue their education and prepare for careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fields or health professions. Others pursue non-science educational goals and careers.

Position Description

Perimeter College is seeking part-time instructors in ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE who will play a key role in educating and supporting students.

Required Education

To qualify to teach ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE, applicants must have:

A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) of science courses applicable for teaching Environmental Science (Environmental Science, Geology, Chemistry, Biology). Science Education courses are not applicable.

Preferred Qualifications /Experience

College teaching experience is highly preferred.

  • Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
  • Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
