Part‑Time PHYSICS/ASTRONOMY Instructor
Location: Perimeter College, College‑wide campus (Georgia State University)
Position OverviewPerimeter College is seeking part‑time instructors in PHYSICS and/or ASTRONOMY to play a key role in educating and supporting students at the collegiate level.
Required EducationApplicants MUST have a minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline of PHYSICS or ASTRONOMY.
Preferred QualificationsTeaching experience in physics or astronomy is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Ability to teach PHYSICS/ASTRONOMY courses on the collegiate level
- Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods
- Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology
A criminal background check is required.
Work HoursClasses are offered morning, afternoon, and evening, including weekends.
Compensation$3,825.00 for each 3‑semester credit hour course taught.
