Join to apply for the Specialty Welding Training role at I-CAR.

Conducts training and certification, delivering recertification specialty training programs for I-CAR contracted Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) customers. Provides input to and assists with the development of new specialty training programs. Facilitates, tracks, and maintains shop tools and equipment to support specialty training.

This position reports onsite at the JLR location: 1000 Centre Pkwy #100, Atlanta, GA 30349.

Primary Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver hands-on JLR welding programs, including Aluminum GMA, Steel GMA, and MIG Brazing.
  • Set up and tear down of training workshops, and regular maintenance of equipment, tools, and training aids.
  • Achieve and maintain JLR and I-CAR certifications.
  • Assist in the development of new or existing JLR welding programs.
  • Understand the operation of all JLR approved equipment and tools.
  • Maintain the training schedule calendar and assist with class schedules, delivery, and travel arrangements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of training results, including supporting documentation.
  • Assist in procurement and management of specialty tools and equipment as needed.
  • Support research, documentation, review, and distribution of technical information related to JLR welding.

Skills and Aptitudes:

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and I-CAR database systems.
  • Critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences and learning styles.
  • Knowledge of collision repair procedures and technology.

Experience and Education:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of collision industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of MIG/MAG welding experience.
  • Experience as a collision repair instructor.
  • Formal education or work experience in skilled trades.
  • Welding certifications (OEM, I-CAR, AWS, or ISO).
