Area 3 Elementary School – Dual Language Spanish Immersion Teacher (Barack Obama ES)

Barack Obama Elementary School is seeking a Dual Language Spanish Immersion Teacher who utilizes best practices to increase student achievement. The primary responsibility is to implement, deliver, and promote high academic expectations to all students. The ideal candidate must work collaboratively with team members and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Teach grade‑relevant, subject‑matter specific and mandated curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional aids, and supplemental teaching materials.
• Assess, document, and prepare reports such as achievement progress, grade and classroom performance, and attendance.
• Participate in student development and achievement related conferences with parents, students, counselors, teachers, principal, and administrators.
• Perform general instruction coordination duties such as ordering materials, attending meetings, and engaging in various forms of correspondence.
• Attend professional learning sessions and/or required conferences.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in a relevant educational field (required).

• Valid Professional Standards Commission approved certificate in an appropriate educational field at level T‑4 or above (required).
• Valid Professional Standards Commission approved subject‑specific endorsements (required).
