PositionDescription
The Department of Environmental and Health Sciences is seeking a PT Instructor to teach Environmental to Science lab. The successful candidate will work with students assisting hands‑on in classes, run, maintain and provide technical assistance for scientific equipment in the department and as needed. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, ion chromatograph, ICPs, GC’s, Millipore water system, balances, pipettes, ovens, incubators, field equipment, etc.
The successful candidate will also work with Lab Coordinator in preparing equipment and materials; supervise chemical database; arrange for the proper waste disposal of both chemical and biological waste; be responsible for staying current with safety procedures and policies; perform chemical, biological and physical tests to identify containments and other substances; record, interpret and analyze test data to generate accurate reports, charts and summaries;
prepare and maintain accurate records and documentation of all tests and procedures. All courses are taught in‑person.
Master of Science in environmental or other related sciences. Science laboratory experience, and field experience.
