Montclair Elementary School is seeking a Certified Academic Skills Center Tutor.

Position: Academic Skills Center Tutor - Certified

Responsibilities include providing focused tutoring in various content areas, supporting students in developing executive functioning skills, collaborating with colleagues, and monitoring student progress.

Essential Functions:

• Provide tutoring support to small groups in the Academic Skills Centers.
• Collaborate with the Lead ASC Tutor, staff, volunteers, and administrators to identify resources and strategies.
• Assist students with goal setting and progress monitoring.
• Guide students with learning activities and resources.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Model social skills such as kindness and empathy.
• Prepare documentation and maintain accurate student records.
• Communicate with educators and families regarding student progress.
• Participate in professional development sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia-approved, accredited institution.
• For Certified Tutors:
  Valid Professional Standards Commission certificate in an appropriate educational field at level T-4 or above.
• Minimum of 3 years working with children.
