Mazzetti’s Lighting Design Studio provides expert lighting design services across a wide range of project types, from commercial and residential to healthcare and hospitality, both nationally and internationally. Our award-winning team of illumination experts balances artistic expression with technical proficiency, creating integrated and sustainable solutions. With expertise in lighting design, illumination engineering, day lighting, theatrical lighting, smart systems, and lighting controls, we deliver impactful results.

Job Summary

Mazzetti’s Lighting Design Studio is seeking a Lighting Designer who is eager to learn and grow while contributing to innovative projects. In this role, you’ll support the team with lighting calculations, energy analysis, drawings, specifications, renderings, and presentation materials, while gaining exposure to sustainable design and LEED efforts. You’ll collaborate with other disciplines, assist with project coordination, and have opportunities to learn through limited construction-phase support.

This role is ideal for someone motivated, detail-oriented, and excited to build a strong foundation in lighting design with mentorship and support from experienced team members.

Your Tasks Will Involve

• Assisting with lighting design, including calculations and energy analysis
• Preparing project lighting drawings and specifications
• Creating renderings and presentation materials
• Coordinating work within the Mazzetti team and with other disciplines
• Supporting sustainability and LEED efforts across projects
• Effectively managing your tasks, deadlines, and deliverables
• Contributing to a diverse range of projects, including healthcare, hospitality, civic, commercial, and residential designs
• Implementing sustainable lighting design in all projects

Work Location

This hybrid/remote role is ideally based in Atlanta, GA, or the Southeast U.S., with occasional in-person participation in professional development and team-building events.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel of 5% or less.

Expertise And Abilities You Will Contribute

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field
• 2-8 years of experience in the lighting design industry
• 2+ years of experience with Revit, CAD, and/or other BIM program…
