Senior Mechanical Engineer - Nuclear

Hybrid work schedule:
In‑office 3 days per week at the Sargent & Lundy office in Peachtree Corners, GA.

• Prepare or review modification packages for operating nuclear power plants.
• Create functional mechanical drawings and/or drawings for nuclear power plant systems.
• Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support plant system modifications and operation.
• Develop technical specifications and procurement documents for plant equipment.
• Evaluate vendor bids for plant equipment.
• Perform studies and option evaluations for plant modifications.

• Develop engineering cost estimates for small to mid‑sized client‑requested scopes.
• Visit client office and/or plant sites to interface with clients and present engineering tasks and status.
• Lead engineering project teams.

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 5+ years of experience in the nuclear power industry.
• Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations applicable to mechanical engineering design of power plants.
• PE license preferred.

Sargent & Lundy discloses compensation ranges that comply with all local and state regulations. The total compensation package will include a base salary and comprehensive benefits. Eligible positions may also participate in discretionary bonuses.
