Automated Distribution Center Projects
Are you ready to shape the future of warehouse automation? An industry leader is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Solutions Design Engineer to join our team and drive automation innovation across new, state‑of‑the‑art distribution centers.
Base Pay Range$/yr - $/yr
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver integrated automation solutions utilizing robotics, Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), and advanced conveyor technology for large‑scale warehouse projects.
- Analyze operational requirements and develop scalable strategies to optimize workflow, space utilization, and throughput.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations, IT, and external technology suppliers, to define specifications, system architecture, and project timelines.
- Generate CAD layouts, process simulations, and technical documentation for proposals and implementation plans.
- Oversee solution implementation and commissioning, ensuring alignment with project goals, safety standards, and budget targets.
- Evaluate emerging automation technologies and tools to deliver continuous improvement.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in design engineering within automated warehousing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with automation technologies: robotics, AGVs, AMRs, ASRS, conveyors, and warehouse management systems.
- Expertise in CAD (AutoCAD, Solid Works, or equivalent) and simulation/modeling tools.
- Proven track record delivering complex automation projects from concept to operational deployment.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working with cross‑functional project teams and external suppliers.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
