We design and maintain mission‑critical data centers that operate 24/7. Your role is to analyze building infrastructure—power and cooling systems—to ensure continuous operation.
We’re seeking a CFD Analyst/Mechanical Engineer to work at any of our offices:
New York, NY;
Troy, NY;
Atlanta, GA;
Milwaukee, WI;
Tempe, AZ; or Herndon, VA.
- Utilize CFD tools to solve physics‑based problems related to indoor and outdoor building flows, thermal comfort, contaminant dispersion, and condensation controls.
- Improve existing analytical capabilities by developing and refining best practices, automating processes, and streamlining workflows.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant computational fluid research in the building mechanical field with proactive research.
- Document, report, and present engineering solutions to design teams and clients.
- Work independently while coordinating with other engineering disciplines and project managers.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong knowledge of CFD, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and building mechanical systems.
- Ability to deliver quality work within deadlines.
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience with CFD analysis software (FloEFD, STAR‑CCM+, Fluent, FDS, OpenFOAM, 6
Sigma Room). - Experience writing User‑Defined Functions (UDF) for commercial software.
- Programming skills in Python, C++, or Java.
- Strong critical‑thinking, problem‑solving, organization, decision‑making, and time‑management skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Drive for results and continuous improvement.
Expected Salary: $91,000 – $129,000 per year. WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement savings.
