Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, of the US South Sector, based in our Rome or Atlanta GA office and have the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects with a focus on highway, railway and transit structures including bridge, culverts and retaining walls.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Lead the structural design for all project types, including complex bridge designs
• Lead the planning and schematic/geometric layout of new structures
• Perform analysis and design calculations according to the applicable design codes; use computer programs as appropriate
• Prepare plan drawings and details, construction specifications and design calculations
• Perform Construction and Life Cycle Cost estimates and prepare load rating calculations
• Oversee project construction administration including reviews of shop drawings and Requests for Information
• Supervise and direct staff engineers and technicians to meet project deadlines as well as scope and budget requirements
• Assist project managers with scoping and budgeting for structural work and be responsible for quality assurance of deliverables

• 10 years progressively responsible relevant experience.
• BS in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed PE in Georgia.
• Prior experience with complex bridge projects a plus.
• Knowledge AASHTO and bridge analysis, design and detailing preferred.
• Knowledge of structural analysis software including SAP-CSI, AASHTOWareBrR, LARSA 4D or similar preferred.
• In depth knowledge of Micro Station.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to direct and supervise staff engineers and technicians.
• Strong leadership, project management skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to mentor structural engineers.
