Advanced Project Engineer – Honeywell

Join Honeywell as an Advanced Project Engineer and play a pivotal role in managing new product development and product enhancement projects to deliver innovative solutions and drive business success. You will coordinate teams, ensure successful execution within scope, budget, quality, and timeline, and collaborate with cross‑functional and business groups.

Responsibilities
  • Acquire cross‑functional team members
  • Conduct project kickoff
  • Obtain product funding and ensure internal and external resource planning
  • Coordinate product scope, compliance, security scoping, customer support, and operations models
  • Create detailed project plan and schedule
  • Oversee creation of product SKUs, scope of work documents, and coordinate procurement of external resources and services
  • Conduct risk assessment and mitigation plans
  • Baseline plan, define dependencies and obtain commitments
  • Monitor program deviations, assess performance and risks, and mitigate including escalation when necessary
  • Manage program financials and address deviations
  • Coordinate product and security approvals, customer interactions, and periodic meetings across functional teams
  • Proactively identify, analyze, mitigate, and address risks and issues
  • Manage stakeholders at different levels including reporting, enabling decision making & escalations
  • Facilitate readiness assessments and obtain release sign‑offs
  • Support pricing setup, support workflows, and marketing launch deliverables
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
  • 3+ years of experience in software product development program management, leading cross‑functional teams
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Expertise working with stakeholders at various levels and escalating with the right approach
  • Ability to proactively identify, analyze, mitigate, and address risks and issues
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to control project scope in alignment with product and customer roadmap and manage changes with involvement of key stakeholders
We Value
  • PMP certification
  • Experience in industry relevant to the products, e.g., technology, automotive, aerospace
  • Experience in SaaS and Cloud product development and deployments at scale
  • Familiarity with project management software (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence) and product development tools
  • Ability to establish influential partnerships at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to engage with business leaders at a strategic level
  • Capability to lead change; build high‑performing global teams within a matrix environment and model high‑performance standards
  • Execution skills characterized by persistent drive for results
  • Results‑oriented with a positive attitude
  • Strong and decisive, capable of making decisions amidst ambiguity
