Description:
As part of a multidisciplinary engineering and construction team, you will develop and integrate engineering deliverables for complex electrical construction projects across various sectors, including mission critical, healthcare, industrial, transportation, pharmaceutical, federal, and Fortune 500 companies. Your work will include detailed design drawings, specifications, studies, product selections, installation plans, and commissioning scripts, along with the lifecycle management of the systems. This position is on-site at project locations or M.C. Dean offices, as needed.
This role requires an experienced engineer familiar with applying concepts, practices, and techniques. You should be capable of solving moderate scope problems with limited oversight, utilizing provided tools, training, and mentorship from senior engineers. The role involves participating in all aspects of system design and construction, including preconstruction, estimating, design, VDC/BIM, and electrical construction, with coordination across building systems and trades.
Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Engineering from an accredited program.
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in building power systems design or commissioning.
- Familiarity with electrical responsibilities and activities.
- Proficient in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EIT Certification, with a goal to obtain PE licensure.
- Experience in sectors like healthcare, industrial, federal, etc.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and engineering analysis software.
- Eligible for DOD security clearance.
- Advanced degrees or certifications such as MS, DBIA, CEM, LEED, NICET, etc.
Abilities:
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Sitting, reaching, finger dexterity, and communication skills.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply written and spoken information.
