Senior CAD Operator

• Set up and manage Micro Station workspace for projects
• Adherence to Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) CAD standards
• Develop and assist in creating Plans, Specifications and Details to support the engineering design plans, including:
• Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) plans
• Communication network plans/master plans
• Roadway lighting plans
• Traffic signal plans
• Traffic management plans / traffic control plans
• Signing and pavement marking plans
• Work with other CAD Staff on redline drafting
• Coordinate with M-B Project Managers and Engineers to meet the project needs
• Coordinate drawing files and electronic transmittals with Clients
• Perform Electronic Project File Management
• Manage CAD software licenses and updates as well as CAD training
• Manage general QA/QC of CAD work performed by other CAD Staff
• Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry information, incorporating technology such as collaboration tools, remote access tools, etc., stay current on file translation methods between CAD platforms and client systems, and keep up with industry standards and periodicals

• Working knowledge of CAD – Micro Station is required
• Associate Degree in Technical Drafting (Preferred) or Comparable 4 Year Degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Micro Station CAD/project file management software
• Minimum 5 years of experience in design field
• Minimum 2 years of managing Junior CAD Technician
• Extensive experience and competence on design software such as Geopak and/or Open Roads

• Some extended hours/shifts may be required
• Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business
• Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout their employment
• M-B may perform a background check. An applicant with an unsatisfactory criminal background check report is ineligible to be hired for the position for which the report is initiated
