Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated mid-to-senior level licensed Professional Engineer to join our team of multidisciplinary licensed engineers. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of structural systems and components, with experience in forensic engineering related to residential, commercial, industrial facilities, marine, and inland structures. Experience in failure cause & origin analysis, technical report writing, and construction litigation is desirable but not mandatory if the candidate has a strong design background.

Building system types include, but are not limited to, steel, concrete, masonry, wood, roofing, and building envelopes.

• Perform field work to document as-built conditions and damages caused by natural events (wind, water, fire, earthquakes) and human errors (design and construction mistakes).
• Use building codes and knowledge of structural behavior to determine repair recommendations and analyze causes and origins of failures.
• Review design drawings and documentation.
• Communicate with clients, code officials, and contractors, and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
• Willingness to travel on short notice, as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Georgia Licensed Professional Engineer, with the ability to obtain multiple state licenses. 2-5 years of structural engineering experience in design or related fields.
• Knowledge of national building and construction codes (ICC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, etc.).
• Understanding of structural engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with various construction types is a plus.
• Field experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Experience with litigation support and expert testimony is desirable.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and have a good driving record.
