Overview

We are seeking a Systems Engineer III to provide post-launch onsite testing support for material handling equipment (MHE). This role requires significant travel to fulfillment centers, sort centers, and same-day delivery stations to conduct system validation, testing, and performance analysis. The engineer will collaborate closely with launch and post-launch support teams, ensuring operational excellence and capacity commitments are met.

Location and Details

Location: Atlanta, GA - Remote when not traveling

Duration: 3 months

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (40 hours/week)

Travel: ~75% travel (mostly East Coast, 1 site on West Coast)

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide onsite testing support for newly launched sites (~75% travel).
  • Conduct post-launch validation and stress testing of installed systems.
  • Coordinate with customers and internal teams on testing results and follow-up actions.
  • Analyze system throughput, performance, and capacity impacts.
  • Provide actionable feedback and vendor punch lists to drive improvements.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues across servers, operating systems, and networks.
  • Drive efficiency through automation and scalable operational workflows.
  • Create documentation, metrics, and processes to support continuous improvement.
Core Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (required).
  • 5–7 years of experience in testing programs, validation, and automation.
  • Prior Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience (required).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with automation tools and processes.
  • Solid understanding of standard internet protocols (Ethernet, ARP, IP, ICMP, UDP, TCP, SSL, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
