Overview
Scott Humphrey Corporation is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead mission-critical infrastructure projects across the U.S. This traveling role focuses on large-scale, MEP-intensive facilities—particularly hyperscale data centers—where system performance is critical and execution precision is non-negotiable. This traveling position is ideal for a technically skilled project manager who thrives in complex environments and has a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination on fast-track construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- MEP Project Execution: Manage the lifecycle of MEP scopes from preconstruction through commissioning, ensuring systems are delivered on time and to spec.
- Coordination & Integration: Oversee BIM coordination, clash detection, and installation of mission-critical systems, including HVAC, UPS, generators, and CRAC units.
- Trade Management: Lead MEP trade partners and interface with field superintendents to maintain alignment between design intent and field execution.
- Schedule & Budget Oversight: Monitor project timelines, forecast impacts, and control costs related to MEP work streams.
- Client & Consultant Liaison: Serve as the point of contact for client-side engineering teams, third-party commissioning agents, and utility providers.
- 7+ years of construction project management experience with at least 4 years focused on mission-critical or MEP-heavy projects
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in data center or healthcare settings
- Experience with BIM, Procore, and commissioning platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
- Willingness to travel nationally for extended project assignments
