An entry‑level professional in Engineering enters a three‑year training period, completing courses and working under senior engineering supervision across a variety of projects. The role involves applying professional concepts to solve problems of limited scope and complexity, reporting directly to senior engineers, and collaborating with other engineering teams to ensure design delivery on time, on budget, and compliant with quality, health, safety, sustainability, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilitiesand Duties
- Perform MEP and ITS engineering design tasks for tender and detailed design phases.
- Coordinate design activities with internal and external teams, consultants, and clients.
- Review engineering information to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- Ensure designs integrate into construction plans and are feasible for construction.
- Manage work through planning, scheduling, review, and approval to meet project deadlines.
- Estimate material quantities and develop specifications for feasibility and design enhancements.
- Identify schedule and quantity variances and recommend corrective action.
- Visit working sites to oversee transport infrastructure activities.
- Prepare engineering reports, including analytical 2‑ and 3‑D models.
- Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches and scheduling performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- MS degree with one‑year experience acceptable.
- 0‑2+ years of experience in highway, building, and/or airport design.
- Registered EIT preferred.
- Track for attaining Professional Engineering (PE) registration.
- Knowledge of AGI 32, electrical, HVAC, CAD/Micro Station/BIM 3D software used in transportation and airport engineering.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam PDF, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong work ethic.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong commitment to high standards, integrity, and ethics.
Must be able to relocate once the project is awarded.
