Job DescriptionThe Senior Structural Engineer will work from our Atlanta, GA office on a hybrid basis, with relocation assistance available. This role focuses on building and facilities engineering, designing structures for high‑visibility projects such as FAA, NASA, USPS, Georgia Ports Authority, MARTA, and many Fortune 500 companies. Responsibilities include structural design for a range of building types, client communication, site visits, quality control, proposal development, and regulatory review.
Responsibilities- Serve as lead project structural engineer on diverse building types, from small to large projects.
- Provide technical input to studies and structural design, including expertise in specialized areas.
- Train and share knowledge with junior staff on structural design, constructability, and methodologies.
- Communicate and present complex technical solutions to clients.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress.
- Perform quality control reviews of colleagues’ work and sign off on deliverables.
- Participate in developing technical proposals, including estimates for engineering budget and schedule.
- Review permitting agency and engineering standards and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with Client Design Standards when applicable.
- Organize workload and work independently on project‑specific tasks under the supervision of the Department Manager/Project Manager.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering (accredited) + 6 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience.
- Registered as a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE in Structural Engineering).
- US citizenship required.
- Recent experience on buildings and facilities design projects.
- Experience with structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, SAP, RAM Elements, and/or RISA.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
- 10 years of experience in structural building development projects, covering all design phases.
- Experience working on large, complex projects/programs.
- Hybrid work model requiring 2 days/week in the Atlanta office.
- Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
- Relocation assistance is available for this position.
Compensation is based on qualification and experience: $120,000 - $155,000 per year.
