As an Electrical Engineering Specialist, you will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks on mission‑critical projects, as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule. You’ll provide on‑site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and discipline lead, and produce installation details, motor control center single lines, electric room layouts, motor control elementaries, connection diagrams, cable schedules, control panel layouts, grounding, lighting, and power plans.
You will assist directly with complex portions of the design process, interacting with the client, owner, and contractors to support construction on site. You and your team will work closely with client owners in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- At least 15 years of experience in engineering design of building electrical systems
- At least 4 years of electrical engineering power distribution design experience for semiconductor, data center, or mission-critical facilities
- Solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and IEEE standards
- Experience with UPS and EPMS systems
- Experience with generator sizing and paralleling
- Extensive design experience with electrical power system equipment/components (switchgears, transformers, panel boards, generators, UPS, etc.)
- Team leadership and client interaction experience
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Project lead experience
- Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas
- Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi‑disciplinary teams
- Passionate about buildings and construction
- Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge of Revit or BIM software
- Electrical design experience for semiconductor, data center and/or mission‑critical facilities
- Medium Voltage (MV) design experience
