- Utilize structural analysis software for design, such as:
Leap Bridge Concrete, Leap Bridge Steel, Open Bridge Modeler, STAAD, SAP
2000, etc. - Complete design tasks with supervision and learn to work independently
- Coordinate the structural design with other disciplines and construction team
- Become familiar with various structural standards and design codes such as: AASHTO, AREMA, and the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) guidelines
- Compile data and perform calculations required for the preparation of drawings and design studies
- Prepare cost estimates
- Prepare construction documents
- Collaborate with Bridge and Roadway Design Team members and all company disciplines
- Conduct bridge inspections and assist in supervision of site investigations as needed

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with 2- 4 years of experience
- OR Master’s degree in Structural Engineering with 0-2 years of experience
- EIT certification preferred
- Intern experience preferred
- Experience with GDOT projects desirable
- Experience with Micro Station and/or Open Bridge Modeler desirable
- Experience with LEAP, STAAD, SAP
2000, or similar a plus - Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
