This is an on‑site role working on a long‑term project near Atlanta, Georgia. The position revolves around on‑site layout support, quality inspections and progress reporting for construction installations, using XYZ's Augmented Reality technology, the Atom. The Atom enables the user to view 3D BIM models as holograms/overlays through its visor, alongside the live environment around them, for absolute objectivity and efficiency.

XYZ Reality is the creator of the world’s first engineering‑grade Augmented Reality solution, purpose‑built for the construction industry. The Atom is a smart, site‑safe headset/hardhat that we implement on projects to ensure all schemes are completed on time and within budget.

• Conduct daily site inspections using the Atom (Augmented Reality headset) to confirm works are installed or being installed correctly, as per the BIM model.
• Use a total station to set / traverse control points.
• Communicate and report to clients, producing detailed inspection reports.
• Attend meetings to coordinate with contractors and plan daily activities.
• Process and review all acquired data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Report to the Field Operations Manager, maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring all requested inspections are conducted within the specified time frame.
• Work with the contractor to devise a weekly lookahead of inspections in line with the master construction programme to de‑risk incorrect installation.
• Obtain and prepare the latest approved Revit models for export into the Atom.

• 2+ years of relevant experience in a field engineer or surveying role, ideally using a total station or laser scanners.
• Qualification in construction, land surveying, civil engineering, geospatial or geodetic engineering preferred but not essential.
• Strong work ethic, ambition and interest in new technology.
• Knowledge of 3D software (Revit, Navisworks, BIM/BIM
  360) desirable but not essential.
• Confidence in using Microsoft Office.
• Clean criminal record and willingness to undergo background checks and drug tests due to security requirements of the projects.
