Job Description
This role is specifically within the SLS division of SOCOTEC. SLS/SOCOTEC is seeking curious, dependable, and proactive learners focused on continuous improvement to join our team. Associates will work with Senior Fire Protection Engineers to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems. They are encouraged to develop skills in particular areas of interest. Projects will focus on adherence to quality standards through plan reviews and technical reports, with components including egress design, code research, smoke control system design, fire‑resistant construction analysis, performance‑based design, fire sprinkler design and hazardous material analysis.
Associates are expected to have strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills, be detail oriented and possess superior problem‑solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture disciplines required
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in Fire Protection and Life Safety
• Engineering in Training (EIT) Certification preferred
• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Suite encouraged
• Experience with CONTAM, Pyrosim, FDS, and/or Path Finder desirable
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong written communication skills
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
