HDR is currently looking for a Transit Strategic Program Growth Director to support the growth of our transit engineering, rail and transit systems, operations and maintenance facilities programming and planning business classes and associated practice groups within our growing Transportation Business Group. The Transit Strategic Program Growth Director will provide support for transit aligned business classes and foster collaboration to support business development, project delivery, and the professional development of employee‑owners.

Future strategic growth and geographic development are fundamental expectations for this position.

The primary objective of the Transit Strategic Program Growth Director is to support the positioning for project pursuits and assist our project teams in the technical delivery of high‑quality work. We have strong technical expertise and consistently provide outstanding service. We are seeking a proven transportation leader to elevate our practice and strengthen client relationships in the market. The primary responsibilities of this position are divided into three areas:

• Project work (40% utilization)
• Develop and lead implementation of Strategic Program Plans and identify new business opportunities in the transit market (30%)
• Lead Strategic Alignment Planning between our market sector, transit engineering, rail and transit systems and O&M facilities design teams (30%)

In this role of Transit Strategic Program Growth Director, you will be responsible for working:

• Partner with the Market Sector Directors, transit engineering, rail and transit systems and O&M facilities design teams, Business Development Leads, Transportation Client Development Director, Regional and National Business Group leadership, to identify strategic focus areas, market drivers and define strategies for clients, including marketing and positioning for strategic pursuits in the transit market.
• In collaboration with the Business Class Directors, serve as a technical advisor or lead in support of strategic pursuits and projects.
• With support from the Transit Market Sector Director, Transit Engineering, Rail and Transit Systems and O&M Facilities Design Business Class Director, take a leadership role in assessing the marketplace and develop recommendations and strategies for the best business approach for HDR.
