SummaryThe Engineering Manager will be an integral part of the Engineering staff and will embody compliant attributes in respect of detail design, accuracy, code compliance and adherence to quality procedures. The role will be on-site, at an office and production facility and will require travel to clients as required (foreign and domestic). The Engineering Manager will be a customer-facing liaison with clients for active projects, as required via meetings (Virtual and/or in person) and conference calls.
They will also manage work assigned to, and workload of, subordinate engineering staff.
- Creates, Manages & Schedule All Engineering Tasks
- Manages HR responsibilities within the Engineering Team (Performance management / reviews / vacations, etc.)
- Work with Senior Manufacturing Engineer to ensure development of the team
- Detailed review, utilizing checklists, of Submittal drawings and documents prepared by subordinate staff
- Perform design review with staff to assure accuracy, professionalism, completeness
- Review designs for code compliance and review calculations for accuracy
- Assure design is consistent with the project quote, or document of precedence.
- Detailed review of production drawings for accuracy & completeness
- Work with General Manager, or other designate, to assure component ordering on time, on budget and within quoted parameters and to assure on‑time project completion
- Assist production leadership in troubleshoot / problem solve any production issues
- Research and develop new products/procedures/innovations
- Trouble shooting of non‑conforming product
