This role is specifically within the SLS division of SOCOTEC. SLS/SOCOTEC seeks curious, dependable, and proactive learners focused on continuous improvement. Associates will work with Senior Fire Protection Engineers to design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems, gaining skills in areas of interest. Projects focus on adherence to quality standards through plan reviews and technical reports, covering egress design, code research, smoke control system design, fire‑resistant construction analysis, performance‑based design, fire sprinkler design, and hazardous material analysis.

Associates are expected to have strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills, be detail‑oriented, and possess superior problem‑solving skills.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or architecture
• 5-7 years relevant experience in Fire Protection and Life Safety
• EIT certification preferred
• Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Suite encouraged
• Experience with CONTAM, Pyrosim, FDS, and/or Path Finder desirable
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong written communication skills
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
