Hybrid Sr. Electrical Engineer IV
Location: Charlotte, NC (possible offset to Atlanta, GA).
Schedule: Hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days remote.

Seeking a senior electrical engineer (IV or III level) with a PE license to design and perform quality control for electrical and communications projects serving military, federal, and commercial clients. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, develop innovative solutions, manage scopes, schedules, and budgets, and mentor junior staff.
Responsibilities- Prepare designs for electrical and communications projects.
- Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, making substantial adaptations and modifications.
- Plan, design, and oversee projects for new construction, renovation, and improvement of real property facilities.
- Conduct site visits to document conditions.
- Lead preparation of written reports.
- Perform QC of designs for electrical and communications projects.
- Provide technical consulting for facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance across various facility categories.
- Delegate tasks, and manage scopes, schedules, and budgets.
- Serve as responsible charge of projects (DOR).
- Review consultant‑prepared design drawings, indicate basic design corrections, prepare technical specifications, and ensure compliance with regulatory acts.
- Prepare specifications for construction cost estimates.
- Evaluate contract bids, make recommendations to higher‑level engineers regarding feasibility, and assist in management of large‑scale construction projects.
- Prepare project budgets and schedules for proposal efforts.
- Use construction inspection report data to prepare payment estimates for contractor payments.
- Mentor junior‑level staff.
- BS in Electrical Engineering.
- Current Professional Engineering license (North Carolina or Georgia) with ability to obtain licensure in other states.
- Minimum 20 years of electrical and communications design experience.
- Extensive knowledge of applicable design and building codes.
- Experience administering and managing construction contracts.
- RCDD certification preferred (not required).
- LEED AP certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and discipline‑specific software.
USD 120,000 – 200,000 per year.
