Geotechnical Engineer

Overview

Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia. Candidates should have a degree in Civil Engineering (EIT or PE preferred) and 5 or more years of experience with geotechnical explorations and construction observation and testing related to the following areas:

• Conducting subsurface investigations (test borings, cone penetration testing, test pits)
• Reviewing exploration logs, lab results, and plans
• Performing analysis of bearing capacity, settlement, earth pressures, pavement section design, and slope stability
• Designing deep foundations and ground improvement solutions for structural support
• Creating temporary and permanent earth retention systems
• Preparing comprehensive geotechnical reports
