Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Solution Architect – PLM to lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery for next-generation Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions that empower engineering, design, and manufacturing excellence.
This role is ideal for a mechanical or manufacturing engineer-turned product strategist, with deep experience in PLM Platform like Windchill or Similar, who can translate technical expertise and customer insights into scalable platform capabilities.
The Senior Solution Architect will act as the bridge between Product engineering, Tech, and business functions, driving digital continuity, improving collaboration, and enabling smarter, faster product innovation through PLM modernization.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions) PLM Strategy & Vision- Define and drive the enterprise PLM strategy and roadmap to align with product development, engineering, and supply chain goals.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to transform legacy workflows into an integrated digital thread using best-in-class PLM practices.
- Lead initiatives to optimize and expand usage of PLM Windchill platforms ensuring seamless integration with CAD, ERP, and PDM systems.
- Define user requirements, oversee configuration and validation, and partner with engineering and tech to enable scalable, reliable, and user-friendly platform enhancements.
- Analyze current engineering and product data processes to identify inefficiencies and pain points.
- Design intuitive, simplified workflows that accelerate collaboration across design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
- Champion user adoption through training, documentation, and change enablement programs.
- Serve as the liaison between engineering, tech, quality, and business teams to ensure alignment on product data, workflows, and release processes.
- Drive decision-making and prioritization through structured governance and measurable value realization.
- Establish governance frameworks for data accuracy, version control, and process compliance.
- Collect user feedback, track KPIs, and continuously evolve the PLM roadmap based on system performance and business needs.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture to integrate PLM with systems such as ERP, MES, PIM, and CAD, ensuring seamless data exchange and lifecycle traceability.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in PLM implementation, product configuration, or platform management within a technology, manufacturing, or engineering environment.
- Hands‑on experience with PLM ecosystems like PTC Windchill or similar PLM platforms (3
DEXPERIENCE, ENOVIA, CATIA). - Proven ability to translate engineering workflows and business needs into product and platform requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across engineering and business domains.
