The Opportunity: We are seeking an exceptionally talented and driven Senior Mechanical Engineer to step into a key leadership/management role. This is a critical position for our growth, offering the chance to lead a talented group of engineers while maintaining high‑level architectural oversight on projects. This role is a blend of leadership and advanced engineering strategy. You will spend approximately 20‑40% of your time on people management (leading a team of 5‑8 engineers) and the remaining time on architectural approach, project strategy, and client collaboration.
You will work closely with Designers, Engineers, Project Managers, Customers, and Vendors to ensure projects run smoothly. If you have high EQ, excellent situational awareness, and can guide a team, this is the place for you.
- Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering;
Masters or PhD preferred. - 12+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience
, with a strong preference for backgrounds in Industrial Automation, Medical Devices, and DFM. - 3+ years managing a technical team
- Expert level proficiency in Solid Works and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics.
- High EQ and empathy: You possess great situational awareness and the ability to assess engineering impact alongside project scope and timelines.
- First principles mentality: You are grounded in physics and theory but balance it with sharp intuition.
- Strong grasp of DFM (Design for Manufacturing), tolerance analysis, and GD&T.

The First 30 Days- Develop rapport with the current ME team and understand our unique workflows.
- Shadow existing leadership to understand project intake and client management nuances.
- Begin managing day‑to‑day strategy for your team of 5‑10 engineers.
- Contribute to technical planning and architectural discussions for new product development projects.
- Demonstrate ability to manage clients and push back on internal teams when necessary to steer projects in the right direction.
- Fully own the Mechanical Engineering team leadership role.
- Assist the management team in optimizing and improving the engineering process across the department.
- Lead the team through complex projects involving medical device development or industrial automation.
