This Opportunity Provides technical assistance and guidance for multi-site/phase due diligence, design, development, building, testing, and inspecting of mechanical systems on infrastructure, building, and construction projects in the public and private sector.  Responsibilities include the research, design, concept development, planning, installation, operation, maintenance, and optimal integration of automatic temperature control, air distribution, hydronic, and plumbing systems, equipment and processes.  Substantiates reports and documentation regarding installation, construction, and operation specifications.  

Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

Your Impact Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, and specifications

Set deadlines and assigns responsibilities

Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects

Design mechanical systems including calculations of heating and cooling loads while adhering to the firm’s QA/QC process

Select and layout mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans and boilers

Develop project specifications

Attend meetings with architects, owners and building managers to discuss future and or current projects

Responsible for meeting the client’s project goals and objectives

Assist in business development by pursuing new work including participation in client presentations

Assist in the firm’s human resource efforts through training and mentoring junior firm members

Enhances the firm’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing internal and external client requests

Demonstrates core values and serves as a role model/mentor to all firm members

Updates job knowledge and technical expertise by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in technical organizations and obtaining certifications in area of expertise and participating in the firm’s Technical Committee as requested

Perform other duties as assigned

Who You Are

Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
5 to 7 years of relevant post education experience in engineering and prior buildings mechanical design experience.

Engineer in Training Certification.

Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards

Strong organizational, prioritization, decision making and analytical skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment

Ability to consistently set goals and meet deadlines and adapt to flexible responsibilities

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Experience with Horizon or Project Resource Management software is preferred

Ability to meet and exceed client expectations

Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in Engineering.

Essential Professional

Licensure/Certification .

Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR ) preferred.

Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training desired.#LI-LB1
