Job SummaryThe purpose of this job is to process claims and tickets submitted by players of the Georgia Lottery Corporation’s instant and on‑line games for validation and payment, and support the District Offices and Kiosk operations, while providing quality customer service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Process prize claims up to and including grand prize winners.
- Support GLC Kiosks and District Offices in the validation and payment of prizes.
- Prepare daily reconciliations and journal entries.
- Validate and pay prizes for instant and on‑line game grand prize winners according to GLC policies and procedures.
- Ensure appropriate prize claims are reviewed for legally mandated collection of debt owed to other state agencies (debt setoff); update logs, files, and correspondence; communicate with state agencies and process setoffs according to prescribed procedures.
- Handle prize‑related security issues, such as receipt of damaged, blocked, and altered tickets, according to GLC policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma (or GED) required. A Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of in‑depth financial‑related customer service, cash handling, and financial reconciliation experience (e.g., retail, banking, or call center).
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be substituted for required years of experience.
