Public Relations Special Events Coordinator/Kroc Specialist
Focusing on member and guest experience in the areas of Membership, Event Rentals, Volunteer coordination and After school/Summer Children’s programming support. Creates and ensures a welcoming, helpful, and safe environment where individuals and families can participate, learn, grow, and thrive. Supports, prepares and presents classroom and recreational materials to children participating in camp activities. Participates and serves as a lead worker to Kroc Associates for point-of-sale training purposes and member satisfaction analysis.
Ensures events are executed in a timely and effective manner from point of customer interest through completion of event; ensures budgetary items meet contractual obligations and the customer expectations are satisfied with opportunities for future relationship.
- Maintains awareness of Kroc Center rental guidelines rules, standards, processes, and protocols. Ensures guests and potential rental groups understand and adhere to the pricing structure, time constraints, and all applicable steps regarding the rental agreement.
- Ensures potential renters complete all necessary forms; collects event payments for receipt and processing; maintains accurate and complete records of payments.
- Monitors work of Kroc Associates to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintains awareness of volunteer needs and matches individual and group volunteers accordingly.
- Monitors work of Community Center Program Aides, Summer Camp Staff and volunteers to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements; ability to read, write and communicate the English language; ability and willingness to conduct all duties in accordance with the ministry of the organization and its Christian principles; conducts all communications and job duties with the highest level of professionalism; ability to demonstrate good physical condition and effort associated with walking, running, standing, and moderate activity in a community center environment including the ability to meet the demands of special events and children’s programs;
work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs) parentheses materials, supplies, and equipment; moderate mobility: duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequently changing basis.

- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Associates degree in a business-related field and
- Two (2 years’ experience recruiting and supervising volunteer staff and/or experience promoting, selling and coordinating the use of facility event space. OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
