Director for Sci-Fi Mystery Pilot

A young detective uncovers a conspiracy when a seemingly routine missing persons case leads to otherworldly phenomena. We are seeking an entry-level Director for an independent production pilot, a sci-fi mystery with a dark, atmospheric tone, blending grounded realism with subtle supernatural elements. This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary storyteller to establish the visual language and overall mood for a potential series.

Your key responsibilities will include collaborating with the producer and DP, leading the cast and crew, and ensuring the story's emotional and thematic integrity. We're looking for someone with a strong visual style, excellent communication skills, and a clear understanding of genre storytelling. Experience with small crews and limited budgets is a plus. Please submit a reel showcasing your previous directing work, even if it's short films or music videos.

The estimated shoot dates are 5-7 days during the second half of November 2026, with prep starting about 3 weeks prior. This is a paid position, offering $ per day. Production will provide camera and lighting packages, along with crew support. Meals and local transportation will also be provided during shoot days.
