Construction Controller

A fast-growing, capital-backed real estate development firm is seeking a Financial Controller with experience in real estate and/or construction to lead financial operations across national projects. Reporting to senior accounting leadership, this role partners closely with project, procurement, and executive teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead construction accounting: project cost tracking, work in progress, billing, and revenue recognition
• Manage job-level reporting, subcontractor payments, and customer invoicing
• Oversee and mentor a team of project accountants
• Ensure alignment between budgets, contracts, and actuals
• Improve systems and processes using Procore, Net Suite, and Excel

Qualifications:

• CPA required
• 7+ years in construction finance or real estate accounting
• Proven leadership in fast-paced environments
• Procore experience required;
  Net Suite or similar ERP preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, WIP, and billing cycles
• Public + private accounting background a plus
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Compensation: $180K–$220K base + bonus
