Job Description

Our client in the Chemical Manufacturing space is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead financial reporting and ensure compliance with US GAAP. This role is responsible for managing all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, as well as overseeing statutory reporting requirements. A deep understanding of business operations is essential for evaluating balance sheet accuracy. The ideal candidate will act as a key liaison across departments and with external stakeholders, supporting cross-functional initiatives and contributing to the company’s strategic growth.

Responsibilities
  • You will be accountable for maintaining the accuracy of financial reporting and ensuring compliance with US GAAP.
  • You will manage all month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, along with statutory reporting obligations.
  • Your insight into business operations will be crucial for assessing the reliability of the balance sheet.
  • You’ll act as a primary liaison for various internal and external stakeholders, helping monitor the company’s progress.
  • You will serve as a central point of contact for multiple teams to support cross-functional workflows.
  • Full responsibility for the entity’s balance sheet management.
  • Assist with monthly financial close processes in accordance with US GAAP, including recurring reporting cycles.
  • Provide global support for fixed asset accounting activities.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements under US GAAP and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Ensure comprehensive compliance oversight for the legal entity.
  • Collaborate with internal tax teams and external tax consultants.
  • Perform and review account reconciliations and conduct financial analysis.
  • Engage in cross-functional and finance-related projects.
  • Verify adherence to internal accounting standards, procedures, and control frameworks.
