OverviewThe Credit Delivery teams underwrite credit products for new and existing clients and actively manage the portfolio to meet client needs while ensuring appropriate risk/return strategies. The Analyst works on lead and non‑lead opportunities spanning investment grade to sponsor‑owned, leveraged transactions, as well as amendments, refinancings, and ancillary credit approvals. The role requires ongoing client dialogue, portfolio risk management, compliance execution, and early identification of emerging credit issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform analysis and underwriting related to transactions, amendments, modifications, and other credit products.
- Author and create credit product approval documents and presentations, including initial recommendations and credit views.
- Develop analytical financial models (financial projections, discounted cash flow, LBO, valuation, and cash flow analysis).
- Conduct research and analysis on companies, industries, and transactions to support client activities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist Directors, VPs, and Associates in day‑to‑day portfolio management, including financial statement spreads and covenant compliance analysis.
- Collaborate with leadership in preparing timely, high‑quality annual reviews, renewals, and amendments; more experienced analysts may lead entire annual reviews.
- Maintain active ownership of quarterly risk ratings within own portfolio and across the team as needed.
- Undergraduate degree.
- Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, competitive drive, and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Licenses:
Series 79;
Series 63; SIE.
- Undergraduate degree with coursework in accounting or finance.
- 1 year of work experience in a finance/banking environment.
