Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Tax Manager to support the continued expansion of their tax practice. This individual will oversee multiple client assignments, provide high-level review of intricate tax filings, and contribute meaningfully to both team leadership and client advisory. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients on tax compliance and strategy while mentoring a team in a dynamic, growth-oriented setting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Direct the planning, coordination, and execution of various tax engagements across a diverse client base.

  • Review complex federal and state tax returns prepared by team members, ensuring technical accuracy and adherence to current regulations.

  • Gather and analyze the necessary data and documentation to support the preparation and review process.

  • Deliver proactive, tailored tax consulting and planning services aligned with client goals.

  • Provide timely guidance and resolution on tax-related questions raised during engagements.

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, tax authorities, and other key stakeholders throughout the engagement cycle.

  • Conduct technical research on tax matters and offer strategic, well-informed recommendations.

  • Lead, coach, and evaluate staff performance while fostering ongoing professional development and knowledge growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.

  • Active CPA license required.

  • A minimum of four years of progressive tax experience within public accounting.

  • Proven background in managing tax engagements and reviewing complex tax filings.

  • Strong command of federal and state tax laws, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, client-focused way.

  • Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
