Director of Finance

OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a facilities and construction management organization that focuses on large scale contract around the US. This Director of Finance position is a high-visibility role within the organization reporting directly to the executive leadership team and managing daily financial functions for the enterprise. This role requires regular in-office presence in Atlanta (downtown/Midtown area) and has a strong opportunity for continued career growth for high performing individuals.

SCOPE OF WORK

• Lead all conversations and processes related to budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, financial statement preparation, documentation and internal controls.
• Manage relationship with outsourced accounting organizations for items such as A/R, A/P, GL Accounting, and Payroll.
• Develop and implement financial strategies and roadmaps for the firm, providing financial insights and reports to support the executive team with long-term strategic planning operations.
• Make recommendations on how the firm can continue to drive financial growth and profitability.
• Work diligently to form relationships with C-Suite leaders, executives, project stakeholders, department heads, and external vendors to drive financial business-impacting conversations and decisions.
• Analyze company performance on a regular basis to generate reports that offer insights into financial trends and areas that need improvement. Lead efforts to optimize cost structures and improve the bottom line.
• Manage cash flow, oversee capital structure, manage relationships with banks and other financial institutions; and ensure effective management of working capital, inventory, A/R and A/P processes.
• Identify/mitigate financial risks and oversee insurance, legal, and other risk management functions.
• Assist with leading audit and compliance activities for internal and external examinations.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Master’s and/or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
• 8+ years of work experience in a financial or accounting focused position
• 3+ years of managerial experience
• Experience working with SAGE Intaact preferred
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, communication, and relationship building skillset. Ability to build relationships with executives, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
• High integrity with a commitment to confidentiality and company values
