PRO 360
A growing, partner-led wealth advisory organization with a strong national footprint is seeking a Tax Director to lead tax and family office services for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. This role will serve as a senior advisor to families, overseeing complex tax, financial, personal, and business matters while ensuring timely, accurate, and proactive delivery of services.
This is a highly visible leadership role with direct client interaction, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to help shape and evolve a sophisticated family office service model.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and sign complex individual, gift, trust, partnership, and corporate multi-state tax returns, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely filing
• Lead quarterly and year-end tax projections and communicate planning strategies directly to clients
• Serve as the primary tax and family office leader for assigned client relationships
• Manage and respond to internal and external communications in a timely and professional manner
• Coordinate with accounting and investment teams to monitor liquidity and unique cash needs
• Perform analytical reviews of quarterly financial reports to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate cross-functionally to prepare and present deliverables at quarterly family meetings
• Participate in family meetings (virtual and/or in person)
• Train, mentor, and develop members of the family office and tax teams
• Deliver a comprehensive family office service model spanning tax, accounting, advisory, risk management, and wealth planning
• Independently manage large, complex client relationships, including engagement economics
• Act as a subject matter expert in tax strategy and leadership
• Support innovation initiatives and process improvement efforts
• Participate in business development and cultivation of new client relationships
• Assist with additional family office needs such as estate planning coordination, philanthropy, and entity structuring as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
• CPA required; CFP or other advanced credential a plus
• 10+ years of experience in public accounting or family office services, with deep exposure to high-net-worth clients
• Prior experience reviewing and signing complex tax returns at a senior manager, director, or equivalent level
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a client-facing, deadline-driven environment
