Connect Staffing is seeking a Loan Assistant for one of its premier banking clients. The candidate will function as a commercial lending transaction coordinator supporting commercial lending transactions from approval through closing and funding. This role is ideal for someone who has been in a loan assistant role in banking but also is also well suited to a commercial real estate legal assistant or paralegal for transaction-driven professionals with commercial real estate, legal/paralegal, title/closing, or escrow backgrounds who are detail-oriented and enjoy coordinating closings, managing documentation, and working with clients and third-parties attorneys and clients — and who is open to applying those skills in an in-house financial services environment.

• Coordinate commercial loan closings from approval through funding
• Prepare, assemble, and track loan closing packages and executed documents
• Serve as a primary point of contact with outside counsel and internal lending teams
• Coordinate disbursement of loan proceeds via wire, official check, or account credit
• Process loan payoffs and payoff documentation
• Respond to borrower and internal inquiries related to loan documentation and payments
• Track and clear documentation exceptions and maintain organized loan files
• Support multiple relationship managers and prioritize across active transactions
• Handle confidential financial information with accuracy and discretion

• High school diploma; business coursework preferred.
• Banking or financial services experience a plus.
• Knowledge of loan documentation and compliance.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; able to learn loan systems.
• Experience with Laser Pro
