Tax Accountant

Responsibilities:

· Ensure compliance with all applicable state and local sales and use tax requirements while minimizing tax burden.

· Provide Sales Tax Treatment guidance in the Equipment Finance industry and review exemption certificates for accuracy.

· Prepare and file monthly multi-state sales tax returns and support audits as needed.

· Streamline sales and use tax processes through technology improvements and maintain documentation per Tax Department standards.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 4-6 years of experience in tax compliance or related field

· Strong knowledge of sales tax code and ability to interpret regulations.

· Experience with Vertex Indirect Tax Returns and multi-state sales tax compliance.

· Proficiency in General Ledger account reconciliation, Microsoft Office, and familiarity with tools like Alteryx, Hyperion, and relational databases (Access, Tableau, Micro-Strategy).
