Finance Senior Manager

The Senior Manager of Finance plays an integral role within the finance and accounting department, collaborating closely with the Controller and other team members to provide robust support services across the firm. This position serves as a strategic financial leader, delivering insightful analyses that contribute to the firm’s growth, profitability, and long-term objectives. Responsibilities include overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and modeling processes, as well as working with firm leadership to evaluate strategic opportunities and assess organizational risks.

The Senior Manager is responsible for distilling complex financial data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations that facilitate informed, data-driven decision-making.

• Develops effective and cooperative working relationships within Firm to provide quality service.
• Act as a trusted advisor to firm leadership and partners.
• Timely delivery of financial reports and analysis.
• Lead firm-wide budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, including annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Ability to build scalable and repeatable modeling processes.
• Develop and maintain financial models to assess profitability, capacity utilization, and margin performance across service lines and geographies.
• Provide variance analysis and performance reporting with clear explanations of key drivers and trends.
• Build and maintain dashboards to provide real-time reporting capabilities.
• Build and manage scenario and sensitivity models to evaluate strategic initiatives, investments, and capital allocation decisions (e.g., geographic expansion, service line growth, technology investments, M&A).
• Partner with executive leadership to evaluate trade-offs and prioritize investments aligned with firm strategy.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership by delivering insights that support data-driven decision-making.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, dashboards, and financial narratives for partners, investment committees, and governance bodies.
• Support service line, job level, and client level profitability analysis and resource deployment decisions.

• Undergraduate degree in accounting required and CPA and/or MBA preferred.
• Strong background and experience with professional service firms.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
• Proven time management, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Strong executive presence and communication.
