Salary: $120,000-$140,000 + bonus

This is an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager to join a seasoned team dedicated to innovation, excellence, and growth within the dynamic Atlanta market. The role offers the chance to lead talented professionals, collaborate cross‑functionally with asset management and development teams, and ensure high‑impact financial stewardship of diverse real estate assets.

Responsibilities:

• Review and compile financial statements, schedules, and disclosures for multiple operating properties under various entities.
• Lead the successful onboarding of newly acquired properties and facilitate transitions from development to operations.
• Manage month‑end close processes tailored to each property’s specific requirements.
• Implement process improvements and support technology upgrades across accounting functions.
• Supervise and develop team members through coaching, feedback, and performance reviews.
• Coordinate annual budgets and reforecasting activities, providing insights to property and asset management teams.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, audits, and financial statement preparation.
• Collaborate on tax reporting—supporting property tax and business personal property filings.
• Interpret and apply technical accounting guidance relevant to property and deal‑specific standards.
• Analyze legal agreements, including loan documents and joint venture contracts, supporting deal execution and compliance.
• Review equity distribution waterfalls and lease agreements, including broker commissions.
• Remain current on industry best practices and support other duties as assigned.

Must-Have

Skills:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with real estate clients and operating property fundamentals.
• Strong background in partnership and LLC entity structures.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and tax for real estate assets.
• Technical proficiency with Yardi (preferred) and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage, prioritize, and oversee multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience leading teams in a deadline‑driven, collaborative environment.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight.
• In‑office availability five days per week.

Nice-to-Have

Skills:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience with property tax and equity distribution calculations.
• Familiarity with technical accounting guidance for complex real estate transactions.
• Comfort interpreting legal agreements in real estate transactions.
• Active participation in professional organizations related to accounting and real estate.
