Accountant, Accounting & Finance, Accounts Receivable​/ Collections

Description We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves managing essential financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. It is an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical month-end processes and ensure the accuracy of operational financial records.

Responsibilities:

- Process invoices, credit notes, and purchase orders with attention to detail, ensuring timely approvals and accuracy.

- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, adhering to company policies and procedures.

- Perform general ledger tasks such as cost allocations and prepare journal entries as directed.

- Manage financial data related to clients and vendors, including initiating new requests and closing projects.

- Handle intercompany transactions and agreements, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.

- Assist in completing month-end closing tasks, maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

- Prepare financial reports and provide documentation related to contracts as needed.

- Review and authorize supplier accounts, client invoices, and purchase orders within established guidelines.

- Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.

- Work collaboratively with team members to streamline financial processes and meet organizational objectives. Requirements - Proficient in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger operations and journal entries.

- Experience in performing bank reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy.

- Familiarity with financial reporting and contract documentation requirements.

- Ability to handle intercompany transactions and agreements effectively.

- Skilled in month-end financial closing activities and meeting deadlines.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing financial data.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
