Job Description
The Planet Group is currently seeking a Cost Manager / Project Controls Manager to support energy and utilities projects for a major client in Atlanta, GA. This role will support cost management and project controls functions, including forecasting, accruals, change management, and financial reporting. Qualified candidates must have strong experience in project cost control within the energy or utilities sector and be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Gather, log, and summarize project cost and performance data for technical studies and project reviews
• Prepare project accruals, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Review and process change orders in accordance with client approval procedures
• Develop payment applications and review project invoices for approval
• Create and maintain project cost profiles
• Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process
• Coordinate with vendors and discipline leads to collect and validate progress data
• Provide clear and accurate cost reporting to project stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5+ years of project controls or cost management experience, preferably within energy or utilities
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  PowerPoint experience preferred
• Experience with cost forecasting, accruals, change management, and invoicing
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to explain cost variances clearly
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
